With the steady growth of the legal Cannabis Industry since 2016, the SLO Chamber saw the need to balance concerns of the business with that of the community and the laws. In October 2022, changes to the current ordinance were advocated by the SLO Chamber that allowed cannabis businesses to better serve our communities. 

It was a momentous — maybe even historic — day at the county Board of Supervisors. The board approved a sweeping plan to reduce homelessness on Tuesday — a decision that could bring lasting change to every community in San Luis Obispo County. The pervasive spirit of collegiality in the room was almost as impressive as the decision itself.

As the largest business organization in San Luis Obispo County, representing nearly 1,300 members that employ approximately 35,000 individuals throughout our County, the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce respectfully summits our support for the proposed SLO County 2030 redistricting map.
